Gettysburg National Military Park


I first visited Gettysburg at around the age of 4, and remember little other than cannon everywhere.  I visited again a couple of years ago, on what turned out to be a cold, blustery weekend in October.  Certainly nothing like those summer days 150 years ago.  Nonetheless, there was a feeling of solemnity, walking the fields, gazing at the monuments - a stark grandeur.  Deeply moving to remember the events of July 1863.

But, rather than listening to my words, please enjoy a brief visit to Gettysburg through the camera's lens...
